Its isomer is one of the main raw materials of 3,3-dimethyl-4-pentenoic acid methyl (ethyl) ester, the precursor of synthetic bionic pesticide-synthetic pyrethroids.
Its isomer is also the main raw material of synthetic citral, which is a starting material for production of menthol and its derivatives, ionone spices, carotenoid and retinol spices, nutriment, medicine, etc.
